It never ends does it? I know people who were stupid enough to buy limited edition aromatheraphy lamps and pay RM20,000 to be part of that network - I’m sure you know which company I’m talking about. Now, it looks like we have a new breed of educated idiots who get scammed on the Internet. An investment that pays 2% to 3% a day! Logic will tell you that if such a scheme existed, government funds, banks and private equity groups would be the first to rush in with their huge cash horde. Still, there are those who believed …those driven by greed …those not in touch with reality. I have engineer friends working in big MNCs that have tried to convince me in the past to join them. Regardless of how many times they got scammed, they would get excited again whenever there was a new scheme. The Star reported today that thousands of Malaysians, including government servants, had lost millions of ringgit in an Internet investment scheme known as buy-e-barrel. In a separate report, a college student lost almost RM150,000 which she deposited the money as “insurance and processing fees” in order to collect her Internet lucky draw prize of RM3.3 million. Read the news reports, get a good laugh and learn!

It does not happen there only, Larry, it is also the same case here. In my opinion, many people nowadays are short-thinkers. They are too much fascinated when they are offered of what so called as ‘the quickest way to get rich’ By the way, don’t be surprised if you see your photo in my website.

well, i personally known several of my friends who ask me to join scheme like swisscash. personally after i’ve done some research on some forums for investment, i realize this is a Ponzi scheme.
After several months of observation, apparently more schemes are coming out with payout getting shorter and shorter. Swisscash promise 100% equity return in 6 months.
But a lot of the query related to this investment (Ponzi scheme) comes from Malaysia. So apparently this smells of a syndicated Malaysian operations.
So, fortunately i didn’t participate. Phew.

Nice title. I am impressed.
You should know that it’s happening everywhere around the world. People are being scammed everywhere. And our role is to share what is right to be done. Not to have a good laugh.

aww, c’mon larry, i’m from malaysia, and using that as the title is insulting..

I’m a Malaysian too and live in Malaysia, but facts are facts. Personally, I’d be more insulted by how those suckers make us look to the world rather than the harmless title of this post.

Haha…honestly it sounds bad on overall Malaysian when foreigner reads about the title although it does not depict Malaysian as a whole.
It could have been rephrase with softer words like “Unwise”, “Foolish”, “Silly”, etc.
