I joined MyBlogLog 3 days ago mainly because I was curious about who read my blog. To get started, you register an account, customize your widget and paste some Javascript codes to where you want the widget located. You then get a visual presentation of any MyBlogLog members who visit your blog. MyBlogLog also provides simple tracking about where your visitors came from (referring URL), what they read and what they clicked on (exit URL). This feature is available for $3/month or $25/year - I signed up for the latter because such tracking data is useful for helping me understand my blog visitors more. Now let’s talk about MyBlogLog as a marketing platform. Just as you could see visitors to your blog, conversely, your information will also be visible when you visit another member’s blog. By having a ScreenName that is related to the blog I visit, I could get their visitors interested to click on my link, e.g. visitors to a Philippine SEO blog will probably want to read SingaporeSEO’s blog. The other “bait” is your image and which is why, some MyBlogLog members have resorted to using images of women in skimpy outfits. After 3 days with MyBlogLog, I’ve received 39 readers, served 127 pageviews and recruited 4 members to join my community. Some of my visitors so far include Bjorn Lee, one of the founders of Entrepreneur 27 Singapore, and Lee Odden, a respected figure in the online marketing community - not bad! So what are you waiting for? Register a MyBlogLog account and join my community. :)
