This has just been brought to my attention by a friend. There’s a guy who goes by the name of Lupperboy and is using the names of established Adwords companies in his ads on google.com.sg …in a negative sense. So if you searched for “activa media”, “bain mercer” or “purpleclick”, this is what you’ll see: Activa Media Scam? He claims to be an “underground Singapore Internet Marketer specializing in SEO and Pay Per Click Management”, and would like to tell Singaporeans to… “Stop paying your hard-earned money to Singapore Search Engine Agencies/Companies who charge you in the thousands who do NOT care for your “Conversions”. All I have to say is WOW! Talk about being straight to the point and having the balls. Go check out www.lupperboy.com - he’s even giving free service but ONLY to the first customer. P/S: does the fact that the “free service” is still on-going mean he hasn’t found his first customer yet? :)
Better than Activa Media!

WTF… ask him not to spoil the market. SEO is something that requires intelligent marketing and a bunch of workload to market and monitor the site. Anyone could just ban his site please. *peace*

Hi, i was surfing around on Google when I notice this interesting post. I would like to give my view from a neutral party.
I got to say lupperboy is a smart marketer. After looking at the ads,
1) He focus on very targeted keywords, while the rest bid on broad terms phrases like “adwords”, “SEO”, too broad to get any targeted traffic. Thus he successfully capture VERY targeted traffic, very smart indeed.
2) His AdCopy writing commands attention, chances are his click through rate are very high, thus reducing the cost per click yet maintaining a high ad rank. Professional Internet Marketer knows this. From keyword relevancy to adcopy relevancy to landing page coy, he got the relevancy all strung together, something Google likes. Very smart indeed.
3) Obviously he knows some copywriting, look at the rest, most are cluttered with flash, and selling with testimonial and pictures. He focus on one thing only, that is talking to the prospective customers only in a very “as a matter of fact” friend recommendation style. His Header got my attention defintely.
If a custormer is searching around with a intention to find out more, reading reviews, and comparing, his service obviously stands out from the rest.
Cheers

Mr Tan: the ad’s attractive, I’ll give him that, but how many clicks will convert to sales?
1) Customers don’t like a vendor bad-mouthing another vendor, especially when you’ve no proof to show.
2) Main keywords in the ad text are Activa Media, Purpleclick and Bain & Mercer, which are non-existent on the landing page. The fact that it’s one-page (thus like affiliate page), doesn’t have About Us, Terms Of Use Or Privacy Policy will likely give it a poor Quality Score and high minimum bids.
3) As mentioned in the last line of my post, the still on-going free service for the FIRST customer makes it seem as though it’s a failure.
4) Using “scam” next to someone’s name and claiming to be “better” without proof are grounds for a lawsuit.
