I’ve often stressed about the importance of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and having a strong presence on the Internet. Out of all the reasons I’ve suggested, from increasing sales leads to brand protection, this has to be a first - getting a job! Yup, somehow a job agency in Singapore found me and offered me a job as Regional Media Director for the interactive (i.e. online marketing) division in “one of the leading global communications company in Singapore”. I’ve read from Marketing-Interactive since last year that most ad agencies in Singapore are excited about online marketing so this didn’t really come as a surprise. Should I make that move and will I even make it to the second round? After settling in to the laid-back life in Malaysia and flexi working hours, the job offer should definitely be compelling enough for me to move back to Singapore. I definitely expect a generous paycheck but will it be enough to offset the higher cost of living, stresses from datelines and targets and long working hours? I’d certainly appreciate the opinions of fellow Singapore bloggers who are from the local advertising industry before making a decision. :)

Congrats! You are a hot shot as you have been headhunted! There is no harm in investigating any opportunity that may come your way. Before you decide to pursue you may request a detailed JD (Job Description) from the headhunter. You need to know about the role whether this position can accommodate your own future growth. Actually, you can make an intelligence guess as they are “one of the leading global communications company in Singapore” :P

Another comment about this is that blogging is definitely something that people should do.
And headhunters will be looking at for people via their blogs too.
