This is great news for every SEO and Adwords marketer - Google’s Keyword Tool now shows the actual number of searches for a particular keyword, instead of those vague green bars previously. I’ve ran through some keywords and checked them against some of my Singapore Adwords campaigns and they’re quite close. Yay! For the uninitiated, the keyword tool is used to determine the keywords to target for an SEO or Adwords campaign. This way, you’ll know not only keywords that are relevant to your business but if people are actually searching for them. Some SEOs are known to rank your website for junk keywords that no one is searching for (because it’s way easier), and call their work a success - now you can lookup those keywords and check if they really did a good job. The way it works is to first select the target market, e.g. change from “United States” to “Singapore”. Then enter your keywords (or website URL for Google to determine the relevant keywords) and you’ll see the results like below: Enjoy! :)
