Let’s have a show of hands… how many of you have had your Google Adwords campaign suspended because of a failed payment? Well, 3 of my clients are having this problem so you’re not alone. Retrying the payment didn’t help either and I’ve verified that there’s nothing wrong with their credit cards. To check, simply login to Adwords, click on the My Account tab and see if there’s a message saying “Payment unsuccessful - insufficient funds”. I wrote to Google on Tuesday and also notified my Agency Account Manager in Singapore about the issue, and both came back to me today. It seems there’s a “technical glitch” and Google’s specialists are still trying to fix the problem. They were nice enough to “unsuspend” my clients’ campaigns as courtesy, but only for me to receive an automatic notification minutes later that the campaigns have been suspended because my “…most recent Adwords payment was declined” - duh! I just checked some of the keywords and confirmed that the ads have indeed stopped running. Looks like we’ll just have to sit out until this problem is resolved. Update: I received a notification from Google that they’ve pinned the problem down to their payment processor and the issue was resolved as of Dec 4th 10pm (GMT +8). If you’ve had a problem, re-enter your credit card details or simply hit the “retry” button.




Same problem here. Retried my card 2x and still facing the same issue. I think you are right, we’ll just have to sit out until this problem is resolved :P

same issue here but mine happened on the 12th of December, have contacted Google by email form and also the customer service number that is so hard to find and all they will tell me is that they are working on it, not sure if this happened to you guys or not but also all of the funds that I put into the account trying to unsuspend the account now shows up that I have a bill for that amount so every time I added funds which I did verify that came out of my bank accounts just kept making my bill larger. they said they knew that I should not have a bill because I prepay but they will not give me any more support, just telling me that they are working on it and have not even contacted me back in about 5 or 6 days now. I tried 4 different cards and it took funds from each account but none of them worked. I have seen that the funds are starting to show back up in my account but the negative balance that it created is still there. it is over $335. I would even pay that to get my ads running again but I am afriad to try and pay it and have the same issue again
