PRWeb Special Offer - 25% Off

PRWeb Special Offer

Just got this in my email… PRWeb.com is giving 25% off all their press release packages, with prices starting from US$60. This special offer is only available through their email campaign and I don’t think it’s mention anywhere on the website. Anyway, here’s the link to the page.

Petrol Up 40%, Diesel Up 63%, Electricity Up 19%

Petrol Increase

PM Badawi announced yesterday that petrol will be increased from RM1.92 to RM2.70 at midnight, while household electricity will increase by 19% in July. As if life wasn’t already exciting enough, he made the announcement in the afternoon knowing full well that people will rush to the pumps. As a result, the entire town (and probably Malaysia) went into a stand-still because of the panic buying - the photo below was taken an hour after the announcement.

No More Petrol For Singapore Cars In JB

Malaysia Singapore Petrol

In yet another ridiculous move, to control subsidized fuel this time, the Malaysian government announced last night that petrol stations within 30km from the border are not allowed to sell petrol to foreign cars from Friday. This effectively means that Singapore-registered cars cannot buy petrol from JB anymore.

Josh Lim On Deal Or No Deal Game Show

Josh Lim Advertlets

Guess who was the contestant on Deal Or No Deal tonight? It was none other than Josh Lim of Advertlets. He cashed out at RM21,900 with 2 cases to go but took home only RM4,380 (i.e. 20%) because he couldn’t answer the question, which was a tough one to be fair.

You can catch the video online here (Episode 26).

Note: Are you looking for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services in Malaysia? SEO is still fairly new in Malaysia, and the industry is served by freelance SEO Consultants to full-fledged companies, charging anywhere from RM2,000 to RM10,000 per project per year. Some of these SEO services also include money-back ranking guarantees. My advice is to have a basic understanding of SEO before engaging an SEO Company, so that you understand what is being provided in the package. Do not select a consultant solely on price alone - remember that the SEO consultant or company is also doing a business, and charging less means having to allocate less time for your project and to cut corners somewhere. Also, ensure that the targeted keywords are the most relevant to your business and they have real search volume in your targeted country. Most of all, do not only look at your rankings but make sure that they translate into actual increase in organic traffic - that is the true measure of SEO success.
